The Bosch D-tect 150 is a trade professional wall scanner and rebar locator.
It can detect metal, power cables, wood and plastic.
For locating rebar, the D-tect 150
has a maximum locating depth of metal in concrete of 150mm.
Objects are indicated by an acoustic signal and visual identification on the large easy to read illuminated LCD display.
Once an object has been found, the display provides information about its material properties, the maximum permitted drilling depth at the relevant position, the millimeter-accurate position of the object, and the size of objects with a large surface. In addition to this, an LED lights up red and a signal sounds when the instrument is located exactly over the object. When live cables are found, the LED flashes red and a special warning signal sounds.
The D-tect 150 uses an ultra wideband radar sensor system and three other sensors, which react to metals, electrical voltage, wood and also plastic. When a detection mode is selected, the instrument sets the operating method of the four sensors to suit the specific application. There is a universal mode for conventional walls and masonry, and a mode for each of the following: concrete, floor or wall heating pipes, drywall and hollow block walls.
For ease of operation, simply select the correct mode, then "scan" the unit across the surface. The in-built wheels allow for smooth movement across the surface.

The MetalliScanner m40 from Zircon, quickly and easily detects metal in wood, drywall, paneling, tile, stucco, plaster, concrete, and other non-metallic surfaces.
