Nikon Total Stations

NIKON is a leading designer and manufacturer of opto-electronics and precision core technologies. To address the global surveying and construction instruments market, Nikon entered into a joint venture with Trimble Navigation Ltd. to create Nikon-Trimble Co. Ltd. The result is an impressive line-up of advanced survey instruments to meet the needs of Surveyors and construction professionals.
UNIQUE REFLECTORLESS FOCUSING SYSTEM
Unlike other brands Nikon’s unique reflectorless EDM technology enables the user to focus the laser on the object that is to be measured. The focusing of the laser beam on the object assures greater accuracy, especially when the measurement beam is oblique to the target surface, or when you are measuring to a corner of a building. Only the part of the beam focused on the object will be used to compute the distance. The focusing system also automatically reduces the risk of erroneous measurements experienced by other brands of Reflectorless Total Stations where passing objects such as cars, persons or leaves of trees or bushes interrupt the line of sight. This technology offers suburb reliability in reflectorless measurements. The size of the laser beam can be examined as the diameter of the laser beam is etched into the reticule.

POWERFUL ON BOARD SOFTWARE
Powerful onboard Software - Powerful data collection and feature coding, stakeout programs, COGO calculation programs and powerful measurement functions. Recorded data can be stored for up to 32 separate jobs. Data in a job file can easily be checked, edited, deleted, input and searched directly on the instrument. Also, survey control point coordinates can be stored in a job file that is accessible from other jobs. up to 10,000 records can be stored in memory.
LUMI-GUIDE™ - LASER GUIDANCE
LUMI-GUIDE™ - LASER GUIDANCE
The Lumi-Guide feature provides two visible tracking beams – one steady beam to provide alignment, one blinking beam to provide in/out information based on how quickly the beam flashes.
The Lumi-Guide provides sufficient guidance for the survey assistant to quickly align up and get close to the stakeout point without having to communicate with the surveyor, improving stakeout efficiency. The Lumi-Guide can also be used as a signal or as a prism illuminator in night surveying applications. Accurate to +/-6mm at 100m.

LONGEST LASTING BATTERY

The 302 Series features the industry’s longest-lasting battery— a BC-65 clip-on that gives you up to 16 hours of continuous distance/angle measurement. With one measurement every 30 seconds, battery life extends up to 27 hours. You can work even the longest day without changing the battery. (DTM-302 series)

LOGICAL

One button for a relectorless EDM shot and another button for a prism shot. No mucking about with toggling a menu button like some manufacturers do.
