The Rebarscope® from James Instruments, enables the user to not only locate reinforcement bars but also determine rebar depth and the rebar size.
Is also capable of locating non ferrous metals: such as copper, aluminium, some stainless steels, wire, and more.

The eddy current sensor is specifically designed to react to the outer surface of the metal object.
It is uninfluenced by small metal particles in the concrete, whether the concrete is fresh or hardened, wet, or dry.
The eddy current sensor also allows the unit to locate both ferrous as well as non-ferrous metals in concrete and other non-metallic construction materials.

The Eddy current principal is the recognised technology for use in rebar location. The Rebarscope sensor has also been designed with temperature compensation circuitry as well. The temperature compensation circuitry not only improves accuracy and performance but allows the operator to use the equipment without a "zero" procedure first.
As always only one sensor is required for all depth ranges and functions of the equipment.

The latest in microprocessor technology not only conditions the signal from the sensor for more accurate and dependable results but provides the user with the information they need. Rebar diameter can be estimated by using a simple system of comparison.

The microprocessor can also statistically analyze the data, searching automatically for minimum cover points, and the least cover of a group of points. A Cover Map or display of cover points as a symbolic map of a structure can assist the user in finding problematic areas.
Built in memory can store over 80 thousand individual data points for later processing. Feedback to the user can also be made via the direct view, sunlight readable digital screen, or via head phones. By separating the sensor from the main instrumentation unit, difficult to reach area's can be handled with ease.

The optional Scan CartTM can be used to graphically display a cross section of the concrete and the location of the metal objects within. With its built in encoder objects can be located with both distance and depth recorded.

A separate sensor from the display unit allows the unit to scan difficult access areas.

The Mini R-Meter is a rebar and cover meter for finding the location and depth of rebar in concrete using the Eddy current principle.

It is a rugged hand-held meter from James Instruments in the USA.
The eddy current sensor was specifically designed to react with the presence of currents on the outer surface of metal objects.
It is uninfluenced by small metal particles in the concrete, whether the concrete is fresh or hardened, wet, or dry.
The eddy current sensor also allows the unit to locate both ferrous as well as non-ferrous metals in concrete. The latest in microprocessor technology not only conditions the signal from the sensor for more accurate and dependable results, but also provides the user with the information they need.

Simple to use, the Mini R-Meter can typically locate rebar at a depth of up to 200mm from the surface of the material for large rebar.
To obtain the most accurate results the size diameter of the rebar can be selected then the instrument will automatically correlate the output of the sensor with the rebar cover.

Zircon MT6

The MT6 is an entry level unit, which can be used to locate embedded metal before your drill bit or saw blade hits it.
This basic dedicated metal scanning tool can be used to locate 13mm rebar metal up to 150mm deep in concrete.
Locate ferrous and non-ferrous metal up to 6" deep in concrete and other non-metallic surfaces.
The MT 6 will locate the target depth in centimetres, whilst indicating when you are approaching a metal object with a large plus (+) sign on the display.
When the plus becomes a minus (-), you have crossed over the target and are now moving away.

The MT6 is suited to parallel 13mm rebar with 150mm separation between each.
