The Mobile Mapper 100 is a professional high performance GIS asset mapping GPS.
It is ideally suited to Asset Management, Data Collection, Council, Utility, Contracting, Construction, Forestry and all GIS professional applications.
The new MM100 is GPS based on Ashtech's next generation of GNSS handheld GPS devices.
Sharing the same platform with the new survey ProMark 100 and 200 models, the MobileMapper 100 is unique in the fact that it can be purchased as a dedicated GIS mapping device, but can be upgraded to a complete L1 + L2 surveying GPS system.
The GPS
The MobileMapper 100 is a high accuracy real-time GIS GPS, which can utilise GPS, Glonass and SBAS signals.
Used as a handheld GPS with no other corrections or accessories, it can typically acheive an accuracy of 1 to 2 meters in automonous mode.
To acheive higher accuracy results, typically less than 0.3 meters, the MobileMapper 100 utilises GPRS. Using a datacard from mobile providers such as Vodafone, Telecom or 2 Degrees, the MobileMapper 100 can receive free real-time corrections from the government LINZ's PositioNZ-RT.

Field Software
MobileMapper Field optional software can be used for the asset / data capture or alternatively a range of 3rd party software programs such as ArcPad or SuperPad can be used.
With a super fast 806MHz processor, the MM100 uses the latest Windows 6.5, touch screen operating system which is an open platform system.
All the GIS features you would expect to find in a portable handheld GPS are built-into the MobileMapper 100 including a 3MP camera.
Office Software
You may already have your own computer software such as ESRI ArcGIS, ARCInfo or Mapinfo which the data can be downloaded into but a basic office computer package comes with the Mobile Mapper Field software.
The MM100 unit is optionally upgradeable right through to the surveying GPS systems. See PM100 and PM200 for more information.
Blade technology
Ashtech's patented BLADE technology helps to set the MM100 apart from other GPS's with it's state-of-the-art Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) and Differential GNSS (DGNSS) engine.
Blade provides increased performance by utilising L1, L2, Glonass and SBAS signals.
