The MobileMapper 10 is a low cost versatile GPS solution for GIS data collection and asset management.

Following on from the highly successful MobileMapper 6, the new MM10 is designed for GIS data collection and mapping, integrating an SBAS-enabled high-sensitivity GPS receiver with the very latest Windows Mobile 6.5 open platform operating system.

The GPS
The MobileMapper 10 can utilise GPS and SBAS signals.
Used as a handheld GPS with no other corrections or accessories, it can typically acheive an accuracy of 2 to 5 meters in automonous mode.
Higher accuracy is achieve by adding the optional post processing package.
If you require higher accuracies and more options please see the MM100.
All the GIS features you would expect to find in a portable handheld GPS are built-into the MobileMapper 10 including a 3MP camera.

Field Software
MobileMapper Field optional software can be used for the asset / data capture or alternatively a range of 3rd party software programs such as ArcPad or SuperPad can be used.
The MM100 uses the latest Windows 6.5, touch screen operating system which is an open platform system.

Office Software
You may already have your own computer software such as ArcGIS or Mapinfo which the data can be downloaded into but a basic office computer package comes with the Mobile Mapper Field software.

MobileMapper Field & Office Software

The MobileMapper Field and MobileMapper Office from Ashtech, is a new GIS and mapping software suite with advanced data collection and processing features.
The software suite provides a new graphical interface, common to Field and Office, and it includes all the features and options previously available in Mobile Mapping and MobileMapper 6 Office software.
In addition, MobileMapper Field enables collection of multiple features at the same time, the ability to label collected features, configuration of antenna height, and support of the DXF, MIF or CSV formats.

The MobileMapper Office has been enriched with new features including an on-screen distance measurement tool, a quality control option to filter out questionable points to improve overall data accuracy and quality. The user can export collected data to a KML file, providing an excellent way to plot and immediately verify position data against a Google Earth background map.

ArcPad compatibility

Commonly used throughout New Zealand, ArcPad is mobile field mapping and data collection software designed for GIS professionals.
It includes advanced GIS and GPS capabilities for capturing, editing, and displaying geographic information quickly and efficiently. ArcPad is part of an enterprise GIS solution and integrates directly with ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Server.

The Ashtech MobileMapper 10 is compatible with ArcPad. (software and license is required by user)
