Who and what is the DLx designed for ?
The
AMA DLx is designed to be an allround dual grade
laser with 2 specific features - ease of use and reliability.
It's main use is for earthworks, large concrete slabs
and drainage.
The two control panels, one behind each grade direction, are
identical and easy to understand.
No more wondering if you are adjusting the right direction. The
built in battery eliminates the problems that occur with clip
on batteries and lasts 60 hours on each 7 hour charge. A charge
over the weekend gives a working weeks operation. Rotation speed
can be set up to 1200rpm to give maximum stability for machine
control systems. The integrated tilt foot allows for full -5%
to +20% grade range without extra accessories. A shockproof
rubber suspended mechanism is mounted in a rugged cast aluminium
housing. The 'wind function' gives the advantage over some brands where the laser can work in windy or vibrating conditions. The laser is nitrogen purged therefore making it fully
waterproof.
What
functionality does the DLx have ?
-
Automatic
Leveling - with motor driven servos.
-
Automatic
Dual grade - self leveling with grades dialled in.
-
Rotation
control - 0 - 1200rpm
-
Tilt

of the laser setup
-
Manual
- you can switch between automatic leveling or manual
- Wind
- the Wind function gives you a chance to work in windy or vibrating
conditions, when the beam otherwise shuts off
- Code
lock - If the code lock is enabled, you will be prompted
to dial in your user code when the instrument is turned on.
- Scope
- With this function you calibrate any sight aid (sight
groves, diopter, scope etc.) mounted on the laser top. This
adjustment rotates the internal movement.
